I Believe

I believe in setting the example for students and modeling citizenship and digital citizenship every day.  I believe you do what’s right, you do your best, and you treat others the way you want to be treated. I believe in the 4C’s: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, and Communication. I believe we must model and coach these necessary traits for future ready kids.  I believe we need to let go and allow students to explore subjects and topics they are passionate about. I believe in connecting kids to the world and giving them a global perspective.  I believe in Genius Hour, Coding, Makerspace, Edcamps, 21st Century Skills, Listening More Than Talking, Empathy Over Sympathy, and Problems Based Learning. I believe you can learn anything.

Most of all:  I BELIEVE IN KIDS.

I think it’s great that you are focusing on modeling digital citizenship to your students! It’s safer and far easier to just avoid the topic of digital social media altogether, but it is undeniably here to stay. Who better than our dedicated and trained professionals to not only shepherd our children through this medium, but also give them the tools to become the next generation of tech savvy leaders?! Bravo!
